About Harshini

I am a dedicated tutor focused on helping students succeed. Through my volunteer work at Learn To Be and at school by helping people from diverse backgrounds. My main focus is helping middle and high school math-Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus. I did expand my teaching spectrum to elementary students as well. If you work well with a patient, repetitive, confident and simplistic tutor then you came to the right person. I tailor my lessons based on the student.

About the lesson

I love making math clear, approachable and not "I-want-bang-my-head-on-the-table-because-I-don't-get-this-at-all" kind of way. As a student myself, I understand the struggle of how education can be frustrating(especially when you don't know how to get the answer). I can guide you so, that you can not only boost your confidence but also feel smart.
I tailor my lesson plan based on the students learning
First ask them to fill out a form that can help me understand what they need to succeed. Then, do research to understand it better. Later, come up with a flexible lesson plan that changes based on how much the student feels comfortable in doing these worksheets and activities. I love to watch students grow and as a student myself I can relate to what they feel and understand from both a student and teacher perspective. I think finding that sweet spot in between the peanut butter and jelly is what makes a sandwich delicious(which in this case is math). I usually take lesson for middle school students as well as 9th and 10th graders; I recently started with elementary (still figuring out how to teach them better).
