About Harry

Hi, I’m Harry, a graduate-entry medical student at Newcastle University with a Distinction in MSc Biomedical Engineering, a First-Class degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry, and previous professional experience as a data scientist.

I offer friendly, personalised tutoring in GCSE and A-level Maths and Science. My lessons are adapted to each student’s confidence, ability and goals, whether they need help understanding difficult topics, improving exam technique, catching up after missed teaching, or aiming for the highest grades.

About the lesson

I take a patient and approachable teaching style, breaking complex ideas into manageable steps and explaining them in different ways until they make sense. I encourage students to ask questions freely and focus on building genuine understanding rather than simply memorising methods.

Lessons can include:

• Clear explanations of difficult topics
• Guided practice and worked examples
• Past-paper questions and exam technique
• Identifying and strengthening weaker areas
• Revision planning and study strategies
• Regular feedback on progress

I have experience tutoring students across Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and I understand that every student learns differently. I therefore tailor the pace, content and teaching approach to the individual rather than using the same lesson plan for everyone.

My aim is to help students become more confident, independent and comfortable tackling unfamiliar questions.

Online lessons are available, with in-person tutoring possible in the Newcastle area.
