About Quinn
Hi, I’m Quinn! I’m a Grade 10 student at Rosedale Heights School of the Arts in Toronto. Outside of school, I love playing volleyball, staying active, spending time with my friends and family, and challenging myself with new things.
I’ve always enjoyed math because I like figuring out how and why something works rather than simply memorizing an answer. I also know that not everyone feels the same way about math, which is why I really enjoy helping other students understand concepts that may seem confusing at first.
Volleyball has also taught me a lot about patience, practice, and not giving up when something doesn’t work right away. I bring that same attitude into tutoring. I’m friendly, patient, and easy to talk to, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn.
I’m excited to work with younger students and help make math feel less stressful and more achievable!

Hi, I’m Quinn! I’m a Grade 10 student who enjoys helping younger students understand math in a way that actually makes sense to them.
My approach is patient, encouraging, and focused on understanding rather than just memorizing steps. I break difficult problems into smaller parts, explain the reasoning behind each step, and use examples and practice questions to make sure the student feels confident doing it independently. I also adjust my teaching style depending on how each student learns best.
A typical lesson starts by reviewing what the student already understands and identifying anything they are struggling with. We then work through the concept together, complete a few examples, and finish with practice questions so the student can apply it on their own. I make sure to leave time for questions and go back over anything that is still unclear.
What sets me apart is that I understand what it feels like to be a student who gets stuck on a concept and needs it explained in a different way. I focus on making students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn.
My lessons are designed for elementary and middle school students who want extra support with math, whether they need help understanding a specific topic, preparing for a test, completing homework, or building their overall confidence.
