About Gabby

I am an experienced, British-born online German teacher for adults with over 15 years of immersive experience in German-speaking environments, including in-country school work and a decade in corporate CSR roles. Since 2018, I have specialised in online tuition, combining a solid academic foundation (BA 2.1 in German and Music) with C2 proficiency acquired through years of professional use and media immersion.
I offer both formal instruction using Goethe Institute materials from A1 to C1+ and my own bespoke, fun-packed 10-lesson fast-track course, 'Mein Leben auf Deutsch'. This course helps beginners build a 1,000-word vocabulary focused on daily life, hobbies, and personal expression, supported by tailored PowerPoint materials. Whether you are aiming for fluency or just starting out, I bring practical, real-world language skills to every lesson.

About the lesson

Hello! I am a British-born German teacher with over 15 years of immersive professional experience living, working, and teaching in the German-speaking world. Since 2018, I have been teaching German full-time online, specialising in helping adults achieve fluency through engaging, tailored lessons. With a background in corporate German (CSR) and schools work, I bridge the gap between academic German and real-world usage. My proficiency is currently above Bachelor standard, maintained by daily consumption of German media and news.
I am a friendly, professional teacher who adapts to your learning goals. I am particularly skilled at explaining complex grammar in a simple way and helping you master tricky vocabulary. I understand diverse learning styles, having worked for two years as a support worker, ensuring my lessons are accessible and encouraging.

'Mein Leben auf Deutsch' - Fast-Track Course
I offer a proprietary 10-lesson fun-packed beginners’ course (10-12 lessons max). You will learn roughly 1000 words, focusing on talking about yourself, family, daily routine, work, travel, and hobbies. This course includes 7 comprehensive PowerPoints for you to keep.

Lessons Offered:
-Beginners' Taster Course (A1)
-Formal Curriculum (A1-C1) using Goethe Institute materials,
or equivalent
-Undergraduate support
-Focus on speaking, vocabulary, and grammar.

All lessons are one hour, but this is negotiable. Currently, I focus on teaching adults, but may look to expanding my offering in the future.
