About Isabelle
I am a 4th year medical student, with a love for teaching and making medicine more accessible. I have experience tutoring pupils at my previous school in maths and science at KS3 and GCSE level, raising their confidence and improving exam results. As the leader of the school's medical society, I coached girls in passing BMAT exams, exploring interview questions and styles, and discussing personal statements.
I achieved A*, A*, A* in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-level, and 11 A*s at GCSE (inc. Triple Science, English, Maths, Further Maths, Business Studies, History, Geography and Spanish).
I'm kind, encouraging and have a can-do attitude, and want the best for my learners.

I explore each student's strengths, specific needs, and confidence, and tailor my teaching approach to meet this.
My emphasis is on deep knowledge and understanding, rather than rote memorisation. While it is true memorising facts can be beneficial in areas of exams, true understanding is essential for tackling harder, applied questions that will allow you to access those higher grades.
I incorporate different resources into lessons to accommodate to different learning styles, such as visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners. By integrating exam-style questions into our sessions, I help students apply their knowledge effectively in exam contexts.
