About Fabienne

I am a native French tutor with over 20 years of experience and a passion for helping students succeed. I have supported pupils from leading independent schools, preparing them for Common Entrance, GCSE, IGCSE, A-level, IB, and Oxbridge entry, as well as adults studying for DELF/DALF.

I am enthusiastic, empathetic, and patient, I enjoy helping learners of all abilities feel at ease with French. My approach combines warmth and encouragement with the structure and clarity needed to achieve excellent results.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, history, sociology, and nature — interests that often enrich my lessons with cultural depth and fresh perspectives to my lessons.

About the lesson

Since 2020, I have taught exclusively online via WhatsApp, which is simple, reliable, and highly effective. I create a dedicated WhatsApp group for each student, where I share grammar lessons, texts, , key vocabulary, and homework. Parents can join the group if they wish, giving them full visibility of progress and expectations.

My lessons are interactive and tailored to each individual. I love grammar and enjoy stretching bright students to excel, while being equally patient and supportive with those who find French more challenging. Each lesson balances rigorous practice with humour, lively conversation, and a wide range of resources. supported by a large bank of exam-focused materials, so my students know exactly what to expect and feel well prepared rather than stressed. I make sure that progress feels natural and enjoyable, with clear goals and consistent support. Homework is always set and recorded clearly, so expectations are straightforward and progress easy to track.

Parents value the clarity and flexibility of this system, while students appreciate the encouragement and steady progress they experience week by week.

Just to clarify: The first "free lesson" refers to a friendly 30-minute chat where we can discuss goals and make plans together.

I have a 24-hour cancellation policy: lessons cancelled with less than24 hours are charged in full, though I am always happy to reschedule within the same week where possible.
