About Sarah
I'm Sarah, I graduated in Natural Sciences at University College London in 2021 I specialise in Astrophysics and Physical Chemistry. What fascinates me is the interdisciplinary nature of science and how different areas of science work together to help us understand the natural world in which we live. I found preparing for school examinations both rewarding and stressful. I found it extremely helpful preparing questions to ask teachers once I had reviewed a topic. One-on-one tutoring in school can be difficult so I want to be that person you can come to with questions regarding any topic. I have been tutoring for a year and a half and have taught pupils from 11 years old up to 18 years of age in Science and Maths.
I also recently completed a Masters in Popular Music Practice at the British and Irish Music Institute achieving First Class Honours (Sept 2023). As well as Science and Maths my other passion is music. I play guitar, cello, piano and sing and I write songs and gig all over the UK.

As I work through a topic, I will explain it, try to test the student's understanding and work through examples and past paper questions. I will also try to identify suitable revision strategies and techniques for them. In my personal experience, making summaries, for example, writing out key equations and definitions for each topic and annotating understanding tips was very effective. I will help students to identify their strengths and which topics or skills areas in which they need to improve their knowledge and understanding.
