About Elaine

I have been teaching French since 1999, mainly in secondary schools. I have also considerable experience teaching adults French from beginners to advanced level in the Further Education sector. I enjoy helping my students to achieve their potential in public examinations but at the same time instilling in them a passion for French language & culture.

About the lesson

In my lessons I focus on developing good spoken language and listening skills. Regular speaking practice helps students communicate more confidently while listening activities improve understanding of spoken French. In order to develop confidence in reading and writing I work with simple texts and clear exercises. I simplify the grammar. This approach helps students learn French in a gradual and enjoyable way.
