I’m a 1st year medical student at the University of Bristol. I’ve spent 3 months tutoring English to Spanish children and recently begun tutoring chemistry and biology to GCSE and A level students.

I'm an upbeat teacher and encourage my students to ask questions. Everyone learns in different ways and at different paces. I therefore adapt my teaching styles to suit my student’s needs. In general I discuss with the student what content they want to cover in the next session, which I then teach the content for and go through exam technique with practice questions. I'm also happy to discuss wider content that isn't on the exam specification as I strongly believe in it's importance in not only consolidating understanding but enthusing student's about the subject through interesting real world applications. I'm more than happy to set homework which I'll mark and go over in future sessions. I'm able to quickly identify my student's areas for improvement and keep track of their progress (eg from practice questions/exam papers), to ensure targets are being met.
