About Charlotte
I have an MA in Philosophy from the University of Sheffield (distinction), a BA in combined honours Philosophy and Classical Studies from the university of Liverpool (first class) and have also studied with the open university. Through these courses I have developed a wide range of knowledge in different areas of philosophy as well as strong skills in analysing and critiquing philosophical arguments and writing at an academic level. Although I am new to tutoring online I am passionate about teaching philosophy and confident that I can help you achieve your study goal whether that be improving your grades or essay wrting, understanding more difficult material, preparing for university or just pursuing your own interest in philosophy. My teaching methodology is customised to suit the needs and goals of each individual. If you would like help understanding a particular topic better I can go through key concepts and arguments to help you clarify your comprehension and gain deeper knowledge. If you want to improve your grades or write better essays I can go through marking criteria, give you mock exam/essay questions and sample answers to consider or look at pieces of your own work to give you feedback. If you are a university student, preparing for university or just want to study philosophy further we can look at relevant papers together and discuss the arguments in the style of a university seminar and I can suggest further reading. Or finally if you have never studied philosophy before and just want to learn something new I can present lessons on topics depending on your interests and tailor my teaching methods to your needs.
