About Aahan

Hi! I'm a rising sophomore in high school with a strong passion for mathematics and helping others learn. I have experience in advanced math courses and math competitions, and I enjoy making difficult concepts easier to understand. I am patient, friendly, and dedicated to helping students build confidence while improving their academic skills

About the lesson

I believe that every student can succeed in math with the right guidance, patience, and practice. My teaching approach focuses on creating a comfortable and supportive learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes.

During lessons, I begin by identifying the student's strengths and areas that need improvement. I explain concepts step-by-step using simple language and examples that are easy to understand. I encourage students to actively solve problems during sessions rather than simply watching me work through them. I also use practice problems, review mistakes carefully, and teach problem-solving strategies that students can apply independently.

A typical lesson starts with reviewing previous material and answering any questions the student may have. We then learn new concepts, work through guided examples together, and finish with independent practice to reinforce understanding. At the end of each lesson, I summarize the key ideas and provide additional practice if needed.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am a rising sophomore who recently completed many of the same courses my students are taking. Because of this, I understand the challenges students face and can explain concepts in ways that are relatable and easy to understand. I am patient, encouraging, and committed to helping students build both their skills and confidence.

My lessons are primarily designed for elementary and middle school students in all areas of mathematics, including arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and competition math enrichment. I welcome students of all skill levels, whether they need help catching up, maintaining strong grades, or seeking additional challenges.
