About Tatsu
My current tutoring in-person sessions are for a project for an English Phonology class, I am also aspiring to go to Japan and be an ALT (assistant language teacher). I am also studying the basis for speech confidence and its connection to the production of words.
I once spoke Japanese and English together as my native languages, however, I was shamed by my classmates since I was in an American classroom setting. This is not an environment for that shame, I want you to feel confident and happy to learn English. Although many of my sessions are informal, formally I was invited to a Japanese high school as early as the age of 16 years old to help an English class with phonology. It’s been an interest turned speciality.

I am currently tutoring adults regarding their pronunciation and reducing the stigma of an accent, but at the same time, focusing on intelligibility so we can all further understand each other without shame.
