About Saanchi
I am an (almost) final year Physics undergraduate student at the University of Birmingham. I am passionate about teaching Maths and Physics in particular as these subjects have a reputation of being difficult and boring. They can certainly be difficult, but with the right support and teaching each topic can be broken down to more approachable 'bite-sized' pieces. With practice I really believe anyone can become much more confident at answering questions and might even come to enjoy learning.
I say this as someone who used to hate Physics with a passion- but I was lucky enough to one day have a teacher who turned it into my favourite subject, and inspired me to study it as my degree. As a tutor, I strive to do the same for my students. They might not decide it's what they want to do as a degree, but my goal is to ensure they realise they are capable of excelling in the exam, and that they realise how exciting Maths and Physics can be when they are not just words on a piece of paper.

I have worked as a private tutor to pupils undertaking their GCSE and A-Level exams, helping them with Maths and Physics.
I organise weekly tests and try to implement revision strategies that would not only be educational but also fun. It is important to me that the students remain motivated and see beyond the curriculum to real life applications of what they learn, as I believe this is the most effective way to get them to retain information.
The weekly tests could sometimes be in the form of games- particularly for topics which are more about memory than understanding. I find that these are more interactive and introducing a platform where students can casually compete against their own previous scores makes revision and tests seem less daunting.
I have also previously worked with younger students preparing for the 11+ exam, using similar techniques.
Typical length of a lesson would be between 1-2 hours.
I am willing to tutor 11+ Maths and Verbal Reasoning, and all secondary school years, including GCSE and A Level, in Maths and Physics.
