About Kara
I’m currently studying Maths and Education at Aberystwyth University, with a genuine passion for both Mathematics and teaching. I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I enjoy finding different ways to explain challenging concepts so they are easier to understand. I have experience tutoring both GCSE and A-level Maths and really enjoy helping students build their confidence. Studying Education has also given me a deeper understanding of how different students learn, which I can use to make my lessons more personalised and effective.

I have always enjoyed Maths and, more importantly, helping others achieve what I know they are capable of. I have experience tutoring both GCSE and A-level students. One of my most rewarding experiences was tutoring a student who had previously failed their GCSE Maths exam. I helped them progress from a grade 3 to a high grade 5, the grade they needed to pursue their goal of teaching English. Having struggled with some areas of Maths myself, I understand that everyone learns differently. I can explain concepts in different ways and adapt my teaching to each student, helping them build confidence and achieve their goals.
