About Jean
Performing in San Francisco venues requires more stamina than most people assume. Great singing is actually about relaxing the muscles you usually keep tight during your daily commute.
My 201 students have helped me refine a method that prioritizes vocal health, care, and sustainable range extension. I hold a BM from Berklee College of Music and have spent 13 years developing techniques that make breathing control feel automatic. I work with working professionals, teens, and returning learners who need to regain their confidence. My lessons cover everything from diction and articulation to complex harmony singing.
Teaching allows me to share the joy of a well-executed performance. Seeing a student finally understand their head and chest voice registration is the most rewarding part of my career. I find that connecting with vocalists who are serious about their craft is a privilege.

Confidence on stage is a byproduct of knowing your instrument inside and out. Sight singing is a skill that saves hours of rehearsal time. My lessons utilize the training I received at Berklee to help intermediate learners navigate challenging scores. We examine your vocal range and address any tension preventing you from hitting those high notes.
I provide specific drills for exam preparation that keep your voice healthy for the long term. Each session focuses on the intersection of technical precision and personal expression. I enjoy watching my students find their unique sound.
Providing the guidance to help a singer grow is what keeps me in the studio. I look forward to working with you.
