About Prerana
I am a practicing architect with 5 years of professional experience, currently working in urban design. My work spans multiple scales, including architecture journalism, mud and alternative construction, residential projects, and urban systems such as street design, lake development, blue–green infrastructure, and campus design.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Fellowship in Sustainability and the Built Environment. My academic and professional journey has been exploratory, and I bring these learnings directly into my teaching.
I am known for explaining concepts clearly and logically, helping students understand why design decisions are made. My goal is to bridge academic learning and real-world practice, while mentoring students to develop confidence in their own design process.

These classes focus on building clear architectural thinking, not just completing drawings. Sessions are tailored to the student’s academic level and needs, whether it’s design studio, theory, or concept development.
You will learn:
How to approach design logically from site reading to concept formation
Translating ideas into clear drawings, diagrams, and narratives
Context-driven design using climate, culture, and user behavior
Real-world insights from professional architectural and urban design projects
Guidance on studio work, portfolios, reviews, and design communication
