About Blake
After earning my DMA in Vocal Performance and spending 7 years teaching, I’ve learned that adults sing best when they feel relaxed and supported. My lessons are warm, friendly spaces where perfection doesn’t matter—expression does. Breathwork, posture, and mindfulness help release tension and open the voice. I specialize in helping returning singers and first-timers alike build comfort and confidence. Whether you love Jazz, Folk, Blues, or easy-listening styles, you’ll learn at your own pace. My students often sing in community choirs or just for fun. Each session is designed to bring more ease, tone, and joy. Singing, to me, is a way to reconnect with yourself. It’s creativity, self-care, and confidence rolled into one. Let’s find your sound again. Every voice deserves to be heard.

My teaching philosophy focuses on prevention, awareness, and longevity. Each lesson is structured to help singers perform often and recover effectively. Breath control, resonance, and physical alignment are central to the method. Singers learn to identify early signs of fatigue and manage them before they lead to strain. For touring schedules, we plan warm-ups and rest cycles strategically. Ensemble singers receive tools for consistency through multiple services. I teach simple routines for post-performance recovery and vocal resets. Training also covers tone stability, breath pacing, and mindful listening. The Soloist in Training learns stamina and control, while the Church Ensemble Player builds endurance with ease. Every exercise aims to maintain vocal health while improving artistry. Long-term sustainability is the true measure of success. Preserve your voice, and you preserve your purpose.
