About Nicolette
Growing up in Southern Spain with a Spanish mother and an American father, both languages were native to me and both held a very special place in my heart.
English brought me joy and connected me to a different part of the world and Spanish represented home.
When I moved to the States to attend UCLA, I became even more aware of the importance of speaking both languages.
Through both Spanish and English, I was able to connect to a variety of different people, places, and opportunities.
I feel very lucky to have my world opened up by Spanish and English and I hope to teach the intricacies of each language as a form of authentic communication rather than just a sheet of grammar.

MA from UCLA, specialized in Spanish and English language. I am Spanish American and speak both languages fluently. I teach both Spanish and English and love to focus on conversation and really understanding the culture/root of the language. I believe teaching comes through understanding and interest over simple test form. Worksheets and grammar overview/breakdown will be provided but there is an emphasis on finding ways the language connects to each individual student and how we can make it interesting.
