About Mayumi
A native Japanese speaker with a background in law, marketing, and international business. Before becoming a mother, I worked in both U.S. and Japanese corporations, which gave me a deep understanding of cross-cultural communication and real-world language use. I hold a law degree from Fukuoka University and a marketing degree from Santa Monica University, and I’ve applied my expertise in various industries, including corporate strategy, localization, and brand development. Now, as a small business owner, I’ve combined my passion for education with my experience in marketing to make learning Japanese more engaging, fun, and practical. I also share real-life Japanese phrases on social media, and in just six months, I’ve grown a community of over 30,000 followers by focusing on entertaining, practical, and culturally relevant language tips. My approach isn’t about memorizing textbook phrases—it’s about helping you speak confidently and naturally in real situations.

Hi, I’m Mayumi! I’m a native Japanese speaker, a mom to a 9-year-old who is fluent in both English and Japanese, and someone who truly understands the struggles of learning a new language.
