About Ian
Entering my senior year at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, I have given lessons through their student teaching program for the last 3 years, as well as helping direct the MusicReach Contemporary after-school program. I have studied Bass and Guitar for over 10 years and have started teaching halfway through that time. In my time as a musician, I have written and recorded with several artists from Miami and New York including Diya Britto, where I continue to play bass on her studio recordings and live performances.

It is my personal goal to delve not just into the technical skills of your instrument, but into discovering a deeper passion for music both as a creator and a listener, also. I believe that becoming a more accomplished musician requires a curiosity for music itself, and that chasing new experiences is what drives artists to achieve their desired goals. We will study the intricacies of what inspires you as a musician, and learn how to re-apply these concepts to develop your own style.
