About Tia
Hello! My name is Tia or Madame. I have experience teaching Biology and French through years of tutoring one-on-one and teaching in school settings. I have a bilingual Honour's Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Education in the intermediate/senior division (grades 7-12). J'ai commencé mon apprentissage de la langue française à l'école au niveau 4. J'ai suivi un programme intensif jusqu'à l'université. J'ai continué mes études en education FSL, la biologie et le devéloppement professionel. [ My background in French includes a late start immersion (grade 4), to an extended half day program (grade 7-12) and continued education in environment biology, French and pedagogy (2012-2019). ]

My teaching methods can prove to be a bit cheesy but I like to make learning fun. This might include role play, games and puzzles. I also try to listen to my student's needs and help give them materials that they find is appropriate for their level. Many assessments should be included rather than tests alone. Some of these may include: presentations, auto-evaluations, a skit, an art project, active participation, level of engagement, comprehension of the lesson objectives and expectations.
