About Ziva
I am 28 and a full-time student ultimately pursuing a master's in Speech-Language Pathology. I have 5 years of accumulated teaching and tutoring experience. I have worked in various different education environments including private school, homeschool, and Montessori preschool. I also have experience with different types of learners and have learned strategies that will be useful across the board. I have recently worked as a behavioral technician at an autism center and completed 40 hours of behavioral therapy training. I myself have a kinesthetic learner at home. A kinesthetic learner is someone who learns best through physical movement and hands-on experiences. Together we reinforce his school's lesson plans with movement and activities as well as associating the "boring" topics with topics that he loves. I have worked with Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, School Psychologists, and Special Education teachers, as well as elementary school and private school teachers.

I have experience with many different types of educational strategies as well as with many different types of learners. My own son is a kinesthetic learner which is someone who learns best through physical movement and hands-on experiences. My lessons would be specialized and prioritized. Each child learns differently and so my lessons will look and feel different from client to client. Overall, I like to work with parents to learn about their child and find strategies that would work best for them and input them into a lesson plan. Some of those strategies could include learning by association, play based learning, repetition, and teaching context clues among others.
