About Matthew

I’m a fully bilingual and qualified teacher with many years of experience teaching Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Advantages of studying Spanish one-to-one with me:
For the past 10 years I’ve lived in both Spain and Argentina during which time I’ve completed a C2 (native level) Spanish language course, learnt to speak fluent Portuguese and Italian, worked as a translator as well as studied at both Málaga and Almería Universities.

I use Romance languages on a daily basis and have learnt them all from scratch as an adult so I can fully empathise with the difficulties a learner faces.

Each student has their own unique learning skills and difficulties. Studying one- to-one allows for a specialised environment in which a student can maximise their learning experience and improve at their own pace, focusing on the specific areas which will truly help them advance and, critically, maintain their motivation.

¡Hola! My name is Matt, and I’m a fully bilingual and qualified teacher with many years of experience in helping native English speakers learn Spanish. For the past 10 years I’ve lived in both Spain and Argentina during which time I’ve completed a C2 (native level) Spanish language course, learnt to speak fluent Portuguese and Italian as well as studied at both Málaga and Almería University.

These experiences have allowed me to develop a unique teaching method using a variety of online resources and materials that I have custom created to help facilitate the speed with which my students can pick up a communicative use of Spanish.

Whether you already have a decent grasp of the language and are looking to perfect it or a complete beginner, I will plan a course specifically tailored to your personal Spanish language learning goals.
