About Deirdre
I am in my 7th year of teaching maths at Secondary Level, and I currently lead a maths department. I have helped many students to achieve their GCSE qualification to a strong pass or higher, and have also delivered Core Maths and A level Maths. I also mark for an exam board and have a thorough understanding of marking criteria.

I am in my 7th year of teaching secondary maths in the UK.). I am currently a head of department therefore experienced in scheme of learning design and assessment design. I also work as a marker for an exam board therefore am well rehearsed in understanding Marking criteria.
Lessons will be structured in chunks based on what you need to focus on, these chunks may vary in length as we work to the students pace of learning. First we will do some preliminary questions to establish knowledge gap, then we will work to cover any weaknesses and assess with skill and problem based questions.
My aim is to teach you to understand the maths, not just tricks and rules, but to understand why these tricks and rules work.
