About Inès

I hold a BA in English from the University of Birmingham and am an upcoming graduate of a Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy/Pathology. Combining my academic background with over six years of online tutoring experience, I have developed engaging, evidence-based teaching techniques that help children build confidence and enjoy learning.

Through my experience in pediatric clinics and schools, I have developed a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting them to reach their full potential. I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of successful learning, so I take the time to build rapport with every child and create a positive, encouraging environment where they feel confident to learn and make mistakes.

I am a calm, friendly, and enthusiastic tutor who firmly believes that children learn best through play. This philosophy underpins all of my lessons, which are designed to be interactive, motivating, and tailored to each child's individual needs and learning style.

For added reassurance, I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and a Level 2 Safeguarding Children qualification, ensuring a safe and supportive learning experience for every student.

About the lesson

As a Speech and Language Therapy student with experience across a range of paediatric settings and working with school-aged children, I am passionate about supporting early literacy and phonological development. Through my experience, I have seen that many young children find phonics challenging, and I love helping them build confidence in a fun and engaging way.

My lessons are play-based, interactive, and tailored to children aged 4–5, making learning enjoyable while developing the essential skills needed for reading success. Each 30-minute session focuses on key phonics concepts through games, activities, and hands-on learning designed to keep children motivated and engaged.

Every child works towards personalised learning goals, which I regularly share with parents so you can see your child's progress. Drawing on my Speech and Language Therapy training, I also monitor development in line with typical speech and language milestones, ensuring sessions are appropriate for your child's individual needs.

All lessons are delivered online using an interactive whiteboard and engaging digital games, creating a dynamic learning environment that keeps young learners focused, involved, and excited to learn.
