About Simon
I'm a qualified teacher of language and literature with 6 years of experience teaching GCSE and A-level in schools and Cambridge First Certificate and IELTS at ESL academies.
I have taught children in British secondary schools with ages ranging from 9-19, as well as adults from countries all around the world, vastly different backgrounds and dozens of different first languages.

I always try to cultivate a relaxed and fun atmosphere in lessons and my classes are characterised by lively debate and discussion.
I like to create stimulating lessons by using as much 'real world' material as I can in my lessons, from newspaper articles about current affairs and lifestyle to podcasts, music and youtube videos, as I believe engagement with and application of contemporary language is vital.
