About Laura
I completed my BA (Hons) Music at University of Southampton, before studying for my PGCE with SEN through University of Winchester and Linwood school, and achieved my ATCL diploma on flute. I currently perform with Wessex Sinfionetta, Questa Voce, Southampton Philharmonic choir, and local theatre companies as a pit band musician, and have performed in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, CBSO hall, and Royal Festival Hall.
I love rock & pop music, so am always happy to learn fun music with students, and when I’m not playing music in my spare time I’m usually playing video games or crafting!

With a passion for nurturing talent, and 15 years of experience in both peripatetic and classroom-based teaching, I offer personalised lessons tailored to students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to refine your technique, I provide a supportive and friendly environment to help you reach your musical potential. I can also support with music theory up to Grade 5 ABRSM.
