About Suraiya
I have a master's major in Mathematics, minor subjects were statistics and physics. I have had a scholarship to do a PhD in mechanical engineering which I had to abandon due to family circumstances. I have been working at the student services to help maths students with special needs at the university.

I have achieved a master's degree in applied mathematics and used to teach Maths up to GCSE level in the past. Over time I have realised how important it is to be able to translate interchangeably real-life problems and mathematical problems in layman's words to make the maths learning experience fun and a super useful life skill at the same time. That's why I want to start with young learners. From KS2, KS3 up to GCSEs.
