About Sandra
Hi! My name is Sandra Albaran, and I am originally from Quito, Ecuador, where I grew up with my two sisters and brother. My family roots come from Otavalo, a beautiful town in the mountain region of Ecuador rich in culture and tradition.
I am fluent in Spanish and English, and I also speak a little Quechua, my native ancestral language. I have experience working with children from different families and truly enjoy teaching, playing, and learning alongside them. I am very creative, interactive, and always find fun ways to keep children engaged.
As a mother of a very energetic two-year-old, I am constantly creating games, songs, and activities that support learning through play. This has helped me develop a patient, positive, and encouraging teaching style that children respond well to.
In 2022, I married my husband, David Johnson, and moved to Texas in 2024. Since then, I have continued to strengthen my English skills and am fully fluent and comfortable teaching bilingual learners. I enjoy traveling, hiking, and sharing my culture and language with others.
