I first met and danced with Peter at a salsa social. Even as a total beginner, it was clear Peter knew how to lead, and as I later found out, how to teach!

Through our dance lessons, Peter was calm and patient (even though I stepped on his toes more than once). Peter is able to be clear and constructive without being harsh. As I have continued to explore the world of salsa socials, I can confidently say Peter is the gold standard lead. He adjusts to your level. I learned and was challenged but never uncomfortably pushed. Additionally, Peter also has experience as a follow which makes him a perfect teacher for anyone interested in the salsa world; his willingness to take on following means he understands both roles and the interplay between them. His focus on musicality made a huge difference in my dancing. Though there are always new steps to learn, being able to move in time with the music is foundational. It makes a world of difference in social dancing! I would highly recommend him to anyone (and I have!) ready to try salsa.

Ultimately, Peter is a joy to dance with. His love of dance is infectious and that is what makes him an incredible teacher. His warmth and passion always keeps you coming back.
