About Jimmy
I am actually a Naturopathic Doctor, but I enjoy teaching and learning languages. My wife is Hungarian and I've been teaching her Mandarin. I have a medical degree and a naturopathic degree. Like you, I am also a student of languages, I am still trying to improve my French and Hungarian. I was a university teaching assistant in communication studies, I also teach nutrition and basic science courses at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Toronto.

My teaching philosophy is based on learning by doing, as practice makes perfect. I would start by assessing your current level and your goals, then I would create a realistic plan for you to follow. I am an audio-visual learner, so naturally, my teaching style is also based on visuals, audible communication as well as kinesthetic learning.
A typical class will include foundational study materials as a guide, but a lot more interactive communication, recreating and practising real-life scenarios where the language is used including understanding its nuances and colloquial slang. Constant repetition and feedback will be provided, alongside quizzes for progress assessment. If possible, I would also arrange field trips to places where the student can fully immerse themselves and practice using the language.
My classes are most suitable for beginner and intermediate learners who wish to raise their skills to a fluent level, plus of course if you want to order Bubble Tea like a pro!
