About Archie
Graduate at the University of West of England studying BA (Hons) Sociology with Psychology. I have a passion for Psychology and Sociology and have found myself with a deepened interest in Mental Health Counselling and Psychotherapy.
From doing work experience in a school, I realised that was the path I wanted to go down as I had such great feedback from students!

Currently working as a Functional Skills Tutor teaching English, Maths and PSHE for learners doing Apprenticeships that require Maths and English. Here, I also do 1to1 support for learners with Alternate Learning Needs, run workshops, and teach a Study Programme all on my own where I found instantaneous first-time pass achievement rates since I started.
My lessons are fun and interactive sessions which accompany all learning styles and are inclusive of everyone's learning capabilities and academic strengths.
Before we begin our sessions, I would like tutees to complete a short learning style assessment so that I can see what learning style suits you best!
From this, lesson delivery will be adapted to suit your specific learning style to ensure maximum engagement and retention!
From working as a Social, Emotional and Mental Health Secondary Learning Support Assistant. Within this role, I have learnt valuable skills with working with children with SEMH and SEN difficulties with ages ranging from 11-18.
I also ran a Communications and Skills group for children struggling with these areas of communication and interaction where I taught valuable life skills to students struggling in these areas, focusing on teaching social competence, problem solving, perspective taking, discussion, friendship skills, and recognising emotions.

Archie taught me at Level 2 whilst I was doing my apprenticeship for Maths and English and passed me within weeks as I left it last minute
