My name is Susan and I bring a unique combination to the table: over 5 years of proven math tutoring experience and the firsthand experience of being a recent IB Diploma graduate who conquered the challenging Mathematics AA HL curriculum. Currently, I am on my way to starting my degree as a future Engineering student.

About the lesson

My classes are specifically designed for students in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme tackling Mathematics Analysis and Approaches (Math AA) at both HL and SL levels. I also welcome high school students preparing for advanced final exams or anyone who wants to build a rock-solid foundation in rigorous mathematics.

I believe that math should never be about blind memorization.
Instead, I focus on intuitive learning and logical understanding. My techniques include:
- Interactive problem-solving: We work through tricky concepts together using a digital whiteboard.
- The "Insider" Strategy: Having successfully completed the intense IB curriculum myself, I teach students the exact shortcuts, exam traps, and time-management tips needed to survive the exam stress.
- Simplifying the Abstract: I specialize in breaking down complex topics like calculus, functions, and algebra into clear, manageable steps.

Every 60-minute session is tailored to your unique pace, but a standard structure looks like this:
- The Warm-up (5-10 mins): Reviewing previous homework, answering your questions, and clearing up any immediate doubts.
- Concept Breakdown (20 mins): Introducing the new topic through active, practical examples rather than long lectures.
- Guided Practice (25 mins): Solving exam-style past papers together to apply the theory in practice.
