About Miss Aolani F
I am very professional while teaching, however, my classes are interactive and can be fun. At the same time, they are productive. I believe that, while learning is serious and important, it should not feel harsh or overly firm. Children should be able to be happy while learning. In fact it is important that they feel positive. Sad students tend not to be as focused in class, as those that are happy and spritely.

The teaching methodology I use, is Small Group Instruction (SGI). One of my techniques for teaching is called Example, Problem Pair; this is where I explain the concept a few times, and then show them an example. After my example, I then give them a problem to solve to test their understanding. I also use Elaboration and Justification of solutions. This is where, after my topic explanations, I give the students examples and ask them to explain how we arrived at the answer. Doing this, helps them to think critically. I like to switch up my classes, so they do not get boring; I sometimes use educational videos, games and make use of online quizzes. If my class sessions are online, I use virtual whiteboards to help the students understand more. A typical class I teach is 1 hour, but I can be flexible. In terms of my experience, I have been tutoring Primary School children for almost 2 years.
