About William
Hello! My name is William, and I am currently pursuing a degree in History Education at Western Carolina University. My passion for teaching began long before college and has been shaped by a variety of educational and leadership experiences.
During high school, I was an active member of Educators Rising, where I had the opportunity to compete at the national level and further develop my teaching skills. I also graduated from the Project Lead The Way program, gaining valuable experience in lesson planning, communication, and student engagement. Additionally, I earned a Gold certification on the ACT WorkKeys assessment, demonstrating strong workplace and academic readiness.
Beyond academics, I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at age 17, an accomplishment that reflects my commitment to leadership, service, and perseverance. These experiences have helped me become a patient, enthusiastic educator who is dedicated to helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding of history and civics, and reach their full potential.

As a History and Civics tutor, I use the E.D.G.E. teaching method (Educate, Demonstrate, Guide, and Enable) to help students develop a deeper understanding of historical events, government systems, and civic responsibilities. I work with students in grades 1–12 and adapt each lesson to their individual needs, learning styles, and academic goals.
My lessons are engaging, interactive, and designed to bring history to life through discussions, stories, primary sources, and real-world connections. Whether a student needs help with coursework, test preparation, or strengthening their understanding of historical and civic concepts, I strive to make learning both enjoyable and memorable. I believe the best learning happens when students are actively involved, curious, and having fun while building the knowledge and critical thinking skills needed for success.
