About Brittney
Hi! My name is Brittney Tymchuk and I am a math/science loving individual who wants to make it fun and exciting for everyone. I think with the right techniques these courses can be made easier and can really open up the world to high school students.
I am also a cat lover and I have a grey tabby named Edward after Edward from Twilight. Anytime I need a break from my computer I just step away from it and hang out with my cat for a bit as I am a big proponent of taking breaks and going for walks/ gym sessions for mental clarity.
I am a millennial so I am not the most hip or cool with all the gen z slang but I will do my best.

My approach is to look at the material and how it is presented. Then I decipher the student's level of understanding of the material and come up with creative ways to bring that understanding to 100%. One way I do this is to identify the learning style of the student and create a lesson plan with that particular learning style in mind.
My target students are high school students as I loved high school math. In addition, I believe high school is such a unique time when students are just figuring out who they are and what they want in life. Since many dreams are tied to grades, I would love to help students who are struggling to pass their courses with flying colours.
As a bachelor of science in biology graduate as well as someone who did fantastic in high school math and sciences, I believe I can easily help students with these courses. Anything I don't remember I can relearn very quickly as I taught myself unclear course material during university. I also taught myself throughout elementary school and junior high as I was homeschooled during those years.
In short, with my unique approach to teaching material, my passion to help high school students flourish, and my experience with the subject matter, I believe I would be an excellent choice for your tutor.
