About Sherline
Welcome! I'm Mrs. Wilson, and I'm excited to help your child unlock their full potential. As a certified and highly qualified teacher with many years of experience, I specialize in creating a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment where students can thrive. My approach is focused on building life skills and promoting independence, rather than just grades. I believe every student deserves the opportunity to become self-sufficient and confident, regardless of their background or learning style. What sets me apart is my deep passion for teaching, paired with personal experience as a parent of a child recently diagnosed with autism. This journey has strengthened my commitment to supporting neurodiverse students in a way that respects their unique needs and fosters personal growth. In my courses, students will not only gain academic knowledge but also develop essential life skills that promote independence. These skills are critical in helping students become self-sufficient and confident in their abilities. My approach is skill-based, not grade-based, meaning that every student can progress at their own pace, focusing on personal growth and achievement.
These courses are perfect for neurodiverse students, especially those seeking to build their independence. I understand the unique challenges that neurodiverse students face, and my aim is to create an environment where they can thrive while developing practical, real-world skills.
What sets my teaching approach apart is my deep passion for this work and my personal connection to it. As the parent of a son who was recently diagnosed with autism, I have firsthand experience of the importance of fostering independence and self-sufficiency. This personal journey fuels my dedication to helping each student reach their potential.
In a typical lesson with me your student will experience exposure to our goal of the lesson, key elements and definitions, modeling and plenty of opportunities to engage and ask questions.
With many years as a certified and highly qualified teacher, I bring both professional expertise and a compassionate, patient, and engaging approach to the classroom. My goal is to ensure every student feels supported, motivated, and empowered to grow and succeed, regardless of their starting point.
