About Joe

My background

Currently a third-year medical student
Master of Public Health
Bachelor’s degree in International Relations
3 years of GAMSAT & medical interview tutoring experience
Experience working with dozens of students. I have helped first time exam sitters navigate the core basics as well as more advanced students looking to refine gaps in their approach and maximize their score.

I can help you develop strategies to navigate any question stem or tackle any set of essay prompts.

About the lesson

Introductory offer!!

I previously tutored GAMSAT with a company for 3 years but have just moved to Superprof, so I’m offering an introductory rate of only $20/hour for your first 2 lessons.

Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to fine-tune your approach, I can help guide you through both section 1 & 2 of the GAMSAT as well as preparations of medical school interviews.

I’ve worked with dozens of students, ranging from those tackling the GAMSAT for the first time, as well as students who are already very familiar with the exam, seeking to fine-tune their approach, overcome particular weaknesses or develop new strategies for specific question types.

Sessions can focus on:

- Understanding the fundamentals and learning how to approach GAMSAT questions.
- Developing effective strategies for particular question types
- Identifying patterns in your mistakes and working out how to address them.
- Improving timing and exam technique
- Refining Section 2 ideas, structure and written expression
- Challenging existing approaches when you've plateaued and helping you find strategies that work better for you

What I offer:
- GAMSAT Section 1: reasoning, comprehension, question technique and strategy
- GAMSAT Section 2: essay structure, developing ideas and improving written responses
- Medical interviews: preparation, practice interviews and personalized feedback
- Flexible, individualized tutoring tailored to your starting point and goals
- Online lessons from anywhere

If you're preparing for the GAMSAT or medical interviews and want personalized guidance rather than simply working through practice questions alone, feel free to get in touch. We can identify where you're currently at and build the sessions around what will be most useful for you.

Joe is a fantastic teacher. In the limited time that I had Joe as my tutor, I believe I developed very quickly in my essay writing. This is because of his attention to detail for his student's weak points and his encouraging attitude allowing us to progress at our own pace.

Joe is great at explaining stuff in a way that actually makes sense, and he’s super patient if you need extra help or have questions.

He's easy to talk to, which makes it way less intimidating to tackle tough topics. He just has a way of making learning feel chill and achievable.
