About Zac

I am 18 years old and am taking a gap year, looking to study Mathematics at Oxford. I achieved 4A*s at A level in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. I also achieved a grade 9 in Mathematics at GCSE level. Outside of academics, I love to play sports, especially football and tennis which I play for local clubs. I am also a keen runner and am currently training for a half marathon.

About the lesson

I am a tutor for students of all age groups, previously specializing with year 10 and 11 students. I aim to improve their knowledge and build confidence to help students achieve their goals in the exams. I do this by focusing on exam-style questions, whilst also incorporating some more relaxed and fun questions to make sure that they get lots of enjoyment out of their subject! Lessons are typically 1 hour long but can vary in length depending on what suits the student. Lessons are pre-planned and have a clear layout to ensure all time is well spent. Previously, students have found it helpful to send me topics in advance that they want to focus on in their sessions.

Perfect! Great lesson, Zac broke down the difficult questions that I was struggling on into smaller steps that all made sense. I was then able to solve a similar question using the steps he had taught me.

Perfect! An excellent math tutor who makes my learning journey a joy

I want to thank my tutor Zac. From the very first lesson, it was evident that Zac is very passionate about maths that is nicely contagious to me. His patience helps me a lot in our sessions – I am an older tutee, without any requirements to learn for a specific exam but for my personal ability/ life and Zac sees what I can do and what not. Whilst he breaks down a math problem into manageable steps for me making the learning process enjoyable and engaging he also gives me challenges when he notices 'm ready and offers support where I am lost. He creates an environment where I feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. He gives me great encouragement after doing exercises right, which boosts my confidence in maths.

I feel fortunate to have found him – for me an excellent tutor, and I am excited to see my progress being supported by him.
