About JP
Guitar lessons focused on your interests with an emphasis on guitar theory you can understand. No boring exercises or songs you don't want to learn. Learn how to develop ear training along with chord and scale knowledge. I encourage acoustic, electric, and classical guitar playing.
I learned guitar at an early age and enjoy helping people make that discovery whatever their age may be. I enjoy showing students a direct method of improving their skills without an excessive amount of time.
Have studied classical guitar and have played professionally as a lead guitarist.

Gather information about the student beforehand to get on the same page and start learning right away. It is important to me to know the students musical knowledge so that expectations are realistic and comfortable for them. I then have them play something for me if they can. Then I determine their strengths and what they need to work on the most to reach their goals.
