About Tan

Hi am Tiffany, currently in my last year of Polytechnic - studying a diploma in Business. My passion and interests include: Fashion, Cats, Flower arrangements and graphic/interior design. Hope we would be more than just Tutor/tutee! I believe in effective communication.

About the lesson

Tutoring experience:
I taught E math in a tuition center for half a year. I had previously tutored secondary E-math to 2 students: with one student improving from a Fail to A2 and the other maintaining his A2. Recently, my Sec 3 Express student who was constantly failing passed her WA3 exam with an A2. I had only taught her for 1.5 months.

Currently I am teaching:
౨ৎ A P4 student with dyslexia Maths
౨ৎ A sec 3 student Math
౨ৎ A Primary 6 student Math
౨ৎ A P5 student Math

Teaching style:
Hello! I'm Tiffany, and I'm passionate about making Math, Science and English accessible and engaging for students.

Teaching Philosophy:

I firmly believe that learning is a collaborative journey. Each student brings their unique strengths and challenges, and my role is to guide them toward success. Here are some key aspects of my teaching approach:

౨ৎ Patient and Encouraging: I understand that everyone learns at their own pace, and I'm dedicated to creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions (but not too comfortable).
౨ৎ Clear and Concise: I believe in explaining concepts in a clear and straightforward way, breaking down complex problems into manageable steps. I really do hope they step out of every lesson with epiphany on topics they were previously unclear with.
౨ৎ Beyond the Textbook: I believe in making learning engaging and interactive. I incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including real-world examples, practice problems, and interactive activities, to solidify understanding and boost confidence and keep them engaged.

I emphasize goal-oriented approaches in my teaching. I adapt to individual learning styles and strive to create an encouraging atmosphere. Let’s make learning engaging and relevant together!
