About Jonathan
My name is Jonathan and I have been a private mathematics tutor since May 2015. In that time, I have tutored over 100 students ranging in ages from the beginning of Secondary School through to GCSE, A Levels and University Maths with a wide range of abilities from those aiming to achieve a pass in GCSE Maths to those participating in later rounds of the Senior Maths challenge.
Amongst my students this year are some students from top independent schools: St Pauls, Brighton College, Wycombe Abbey and City of London; and top grammar/selective schools: Henrietta Barnett and Mill Hill County.
And in the last couple of years I have also helped students from Dulwich College, NLCS, Highgate School, South Hampstead, Putney High, Godolphin & Latymer, Tiffin and QE Boys through to the end of their GCSEs and A Levels.
As a tutor, I would be able to provide maths tuition for the student's whole time at secondary school.
My past experience allows me to adapt my style based on the students strengths and weaknesses, whereby I can provide more basic support in topics they struggle on and provide them with greater challenge in topics they are comfortable with to stretch their understanding.

As a tutor I aim to pass on my passion for Mathematics onto my students, developing their understanding and appreciation for the subject. In my opinion this is the best way to learn as ideas become easier to remember and concepts become quicker to grasp, which will transpose into better grades and examination performances.
My past experience allows me to adapt my style based on the students strengths and weaknesses, whereby I can provide more basic support in topics they struggle on and provide them with greater challenge in topics they are comfortable with to stretch their understanding.
Overall, I bring an enthusiastic and approachable atmosphere to my sessions, where students are not afraid to ask questions. This will enhance their learning experience and again improve exam results.
