About Sofia

I love sharing my passion for science and helping students achieve their full potential.

Hi, I'm Sofia! I’m a first year medical student, and I offer fresh insight and up‑to‑date knowledge of the GCSE science curriculum. In our lessons, we focus on breaking down complex topics, strengthening exam technique, and building a solid understanding that students can rely on. I aim to create a calm, approachable learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and making real progress. I use practice questions and interactive exercises to check understanding throughout the lesson, and I tailor my teaching to each student’s individual learning style. I feel genuinely grateful for the opportunity to share my love of science with others, and I strive to create a space where every student feels supported and confident in their abilities.

Whether you’re finding certain topics challenging or simply want extra support before exams, I can help you build both knowledge and confidence through enjoyable and effective learning.

About the lesson

Each lesson is structured and personalised to the student’s needs. We work through topics step by step, using clear explanations and simple examples to make even the trickier ideas feel manageable. Throughout the session, I use short practice questions and quick check‑ins to make sure the student is genuinely understanding, not just memorising.
Lessons are paced to build confidence as well as knowledge, with lots of time for questions and guided practice. By the end of each session, students leave with a clearer grasp of the topic and a sense of steady, real progress.
