About Huzaifah
I am a UWE Civil Engineering student who knows exactly how to crack the GCSE History code. I achieved a Grade 9 at GCSE History, but I also know the frustration of not having the right support when the pressure ramps up. I became a tutor to be the mentor I missed having during my A-Levels. I specialise not just in teaching dates and key facts, but also exam structure and technique. I understand the pressure of modern education and provide a relatable, supportive, and highly structured environment to help students reach their full potential.

My teaching Methodology - I approach History with a logical, analytical mindset. Many students struggle because they know dates but aren't properly taught how to structure the argument. I strip away the confusion and teach the "formula" for a superior Grade 9 answer. What to expect: • Essay Architecture: We break down and learn how to write the perfect essay structure (PEEL paragraphs) using past exam papers, so you know exactly how to write each answer. • Source Analysis: I teach a step-by-step method to deconstruct and analyse sources, including how to evaluate its provenance, and determine its usefulness and reliability. • Active Recall: Instead of passive reading, I include more engaging methods of learning key facts, including quizzes and mind maps. • Examboard oriented: The content and exam structures used will be in line with your module and exam board, ensuring they are optimised to achieve a Grade 9. Lesson Format & Length: • Length: 60 minutes (Online via Zoom/Teams/Google Meet). Typical Structure (this will vary depending on the lesson): • Review of previous topics (5 mins). • Deep dive into a specific topic or historical event (25 mins). • Exam Application: We spend the second half of the lesson applying that knowledge to real past paper questions together (30 mins). Who is this for? I specialise in GCSE History students (Years 9-11) aiming to secure high grades, as well as KS3 students.
