About Tia
I’m a friendly and approachable tutor with 3 years of tutoring experience, currently studying Graduate Entry Medicine after graduating with a First-Class BSc in Medical Genetics.
I’ve always enjoyed understanding how and why things work, and I love helping students reach that point where a topic that initially seemed difficult starts to make sense. I’m patient and adaptable in my approach, and I understand that students can have very different ways of learning.

My lessons are relaxed, supportive and tailored to each student. I take time to understand what they find difficult and adapt my teaching style accordingly, whether they need help understanding a particular topic, consolidating their knowledge or preparing for an upcoming exam.
For GCSE students, I place a strong focus on exam technique and applying knowledge to exam-style questions, alongside making sure the underlying concepts are properly understood. For KS3 students, I aim to build a strong foundation and confidence in Maths and Science that they can carry forward into GCSE.
Lessons are taught online, using clear explanations, worked examples and practice questions. I encourage students to ask questions and work through problems themselves, while providing support and guidance where needed.
I can also adapt lessons around the student’s current topics, schoolwork or upcoming assessments, so that tuition is relevant to what they need most at that time.
