About Alexandra
I want to teach because I understand what it’s like to struggle with a subject — especially Maths. I used to find it difficult, but with the right guidance and practice, I managed to turn things around and develop real confidence in it. That experience showed me how valuable it is to have someone explain concepts clearly and patiently, and now I want to help other students experience that same sense of achievement when everything starts to make sense. I’m equally passionate about teaching languages. Too few people in the UK speak another language, even though it’s such an important skill in today’s world. Learning a language not only allows you to connect with more people and cultures, but it also gives you a real edge in the job market — it makes you stand out and opens up countless opportunities for the future.

My lessons are fully personalised to each student’s goals and confidence level. At the beginning, I identify the areas that need the most support — whether that’s challenging algebra topics, tricky grammar points, or exam technique. From there, I plan each session with clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, and plenty of practice to make sure every concept really sticks. In languages (Spanish and Russian), I focus on building both confidence and accuracy through speaking practice, vocabulary activities, grammar exercises, and exam-style tasks. In Maths, I combine past papers, targeted problem sets, and real-world examples to help students understand not just how to solve problems, but why the methods work. I always aim to make lessons interactive, encouraging questions and discussion, and I like to finish each session with a quick recap and a few short tasks to reinforce learning before the next lesson.
