About Danielle
As a classroom teacher, I regularly see students who would benefit from one-to-one support, where they have the time and space to ask questions, think through their answers, and attempt work they might avoid in a class setting.
In a one-to-one environment, students can receive immediate, tailored feedback and work at a pace that allows them to properly understand each step.
I want students to leave sessions feeling that something they once found difficult now makes sense, and with the confidence to tackle similar questions successfully in an exam.

I am a GCSE maths teacher with 6 years of classroom experience, specialising in supporting Year 10 students as they begin the GCSE course.
I work particularly well with students who are finding the transition from Year 9 challenging, especially when new topics such as algebra and trigonometry are introduced.
My teaching approach is based on clear scaffolding of new concepts, ensuring students understand each step before moving on. I use regular retrieval practice at the start of sessions to strengthen prior knowledge and help students retain what they have learnt.
I place a strong emphasis on giving students time to practise procedural questions until they are secure, while also using targeted questioning to develop their reasoning and deeper understanding.
The focus is always on building a secure foundation so students feel confident and capable as they progress through the GCSE course.
