About Simon
I taught in a primary school for many years and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, having studied Maths to degree level,I would like now to focus purely on teaching maths because, although some people may find it peculiar, I love it! Maths is structured. It follows rules. It has answers. It is unambiguous. It has patterns. There is so much to like about it and hopefully I will be able to encourage you to like it and appreciate it more too.
I believe patience and teaching at the right level for you are fundamentally important. I won't go racing ahead and I always encourage students to stop me if they would like me to go through something again. Or again and again!

I believe my strong subject knowledge, teaching experience and enjoyment of maths will help to make my tutoring lessons engaging. I aim to make lessons interactive with lots of worked examples. I have been teaching for 30 years, mostly in a primary school although I have tutored to both GCSE and A level in Mathematics.
