About Ewan

I am a highly ambitious and dedicated student aiming to study economics at Nottingham. I captain my football team and have experience in coaching and playing tennis. I want to tutor to develop my communication skills and to help develop young people’s confidence and reduce any anxiety surrounding exams.

My Approach to Tutoring I focus on building strong foundational understanding and problem-solving skills, using clear explanations and step-by-step methods to help students tackle challenging 11+ maths topics with confidence. My lessons are interactive, incorporating practice questions, exam-style problems, and tailored techniques to suit each student’s learning style. Lesson Structure - Duration: 1 hour - Format: Explanation of key concepts, guided practice, and independent problem-solving with feedback - Goal: Strengthen understanding, improve speed and accuracy, and boost exam confidence Qualifications & Experience - A-Level student at Westcliff High, studying Maths, Economics, Psychology, and History - 7 Grade 9s (incl. Maths) and 4 Grade 8s at GCSE - Psychology Prefect & Lower School Subject Mentor – Experienced in guiding younger students - Worked with children as a tennis coach – Patient and engaging teaching style Who My Lessons Are For I tutor students preparing for the 11+ Maths exam, typically aged 9–11, helping them master key topics, develop exam techniques, and gain confidence for success.
