About Hannah

My name is Hannah, I am 19 and from Wolverhampton. I am currently studying an Accounting and Finance degree at the University of Warwick. I have always had a keen interest in maths and science, especially biology, which is a major reason why I took up, and continue to enjoy tutoring.

About the lesson

Having recently finished school myself, I am very familiar with the curriculum and content of GCSE maths and Biology and have many learning/revision techniques which are beneficial while preparing for GCSEs. I am very flexible with the timings and length of tutor sessions, however I would recommend to my students doing sessions that last an hour as I find this to be the optimum time to concentrate. When tutoring I like to first begin by discussing key points and rules in a certain topic, then go on to do some examples together until the student is confident enough to try questions on themself. Having an A-level in maths and doing a Maths based degree allows me to understand GCSE concepts thoroughly meaning I can therefore explain the topics in greater detail if the student wants. Also having an A-level in biology allows me to have a good understanding, and teaching ability of GCSE Biology. I am open to teach Maths and Biology to students ranging from Year 7 to Year 11.
